Welcome to the Eastern Ontario Tackle Football Officials Association (EOTFOA)

The EOTFOA has been in existence since 1999. The EOTFOA is sanctioned by the Ontario Football Officials Association and supports the goals, ideals, and objectives of Football Canada and the Canadian Football Officials Association.

The EOTFOA was founded to bring all tackle football Officials in Eastern Ontario including the Ottawa Valley, Cornwall and greater Ottawa, into a single organization. We trace our roots to 1935, when the Ottawa District Football Officials Association was formed.

EOTFOA members officiate football at many levels, from tyke through midget, junior and semi-pro. Several EOTFOA members have progressed to become on-field officials in U Sports (Canadian university football) and the CFL.

A full list of the leagues we serve is available on our Leagues Page.

NEW: Visit our Training Page for a video and PDF training materials for the 2021 Canadian amateur football rules changes. The video includes a Q&A with national rules interpreter Walter Berry, as well as graphics and video clips to illustrate some of the most important changes.

Are you interested in becoming a football official?

Officiating is a great way to be involved in the game, maintain your personal fitness, and network with a group of people who share a great passion for the sport.

We offer Football Canada-certified training programs, mentoring and other programs to assist new Officials in getting off to a great start.

Visit our Recruiting Page, or use the Contact Us button to send a note and we'll be in touch.
